this girl, macy gray has been on my ipod's "on heavy rotation" list along with alicia keys, the dixie chicks, norah jones, sheryl crow, julia fordham and (gasp!) mariah carey. i'm not really the "girl power" kind of person, but i don't know how women artists end up hogging most of the memory of podee (yes! i gave my ipod a name and fyi i really think it's a guy).

because of this i made a new playlist containing songs that are sung by women which i titled "go girls!". while i was at it, i realized i needed to revise some of my playlists because classifying songs into their genres just didn't feel right for me. walang dating. thus, the birth of my new playlists.

behind closed doors
these are the make out songs, he he he. surprisingly, i have a lot of them. siyempre hindi mawawala ang classic ni dr. hook na "sharing the night together".

broadway avenue
contains downloaded broadway hits from musical plays like the phantom of the opera, rent, les miserables and mamma mia and wicked. my favorite from this playlist is "seasons of love" from rent, "popular" and "defying gravity" from wicked.

driven
songs that are appropriate for long drives. pang-alis ng antok ng kung sino man ang designated driver.

give me a break!
break up songs. my current favorite playlist. this contains songs by vertical horizon (best i ever had), earth, wind and fire(after the love is gone), james ingram (there's no easy way), christopher cross (is there something?) and jars of clay (tea and sympathy) among others.

go girls!
songs with women as vocalist.

i rock!
a mix of alternative and pop rock. contains songs of bands like nirvana, toad the wet sprocket, matchbox twenty, crash test dummies, R.E.M., sugar ray, ugly kid joe, better than ezra, etc.....

love dub
sappy, mushy love songs that will make you cringe he he he. my favorite here is kathy trocolli's "if i'm not in love" and julia fordham's "love moves in mysterious ways".

speechless
instrumental. i only have two artists on this playlist. jim brickman and kenny g.
